Academic Integrity Policy
Last updated 29 July 2026
Honest learning is the point. This page explains where our support stops and your responsibility begins.
1. What this app is for
NorthAura StudyFlow is designed to support learning, organization, revision and understanding. It helps you plan your semester, break work into steps, revise with flashcards and quizzes, and understand your own course materials.
2. What this app is not for
- Completing graded assignments on behalf of students.
- Encouraging or enabling plagiarism.
- Circumventing institutional policies or assessment rules.
- Generating work intended to be submitted as original without appropriate review.
- Facilitating cheating in any form, including during exams or timed assessments.
3. How our AI behaves
- The AI Study Coach explains concepts, asks guiding questions, helps you outline and gives feedback on your own work.
- It declines requests to write complete graded assignments, essays, lab reports or exam answers.
- Generated flashcards, quizzes and summaries are revision aids built from material you provide.
4. Your responsibility
Institutional rules vary, and they take precedence. Before using any AI assistance in coursework, check your institution's, faculty's and instructor's policies on AI use, collaboration and citation, and disclose AI assistance where required.
You remain solely responsible for ensuring your submitted work complies with your institution's academic-integrity requirements.
5. Verify before you submit
- Check AI-generated citations against the original sources — reference details can be wrong or invented.
- Read the original material; summaries are a starting point, not a substitute.
- Treat quiz results and readiness scores as estimates only.
6. Enforcement
Accounts used to solicit ghostwritten graded work, to bypass assessment controls, or otherwise to breach this policy may be limited, suspended or terminated.
