Creating an account and signing in

Go to /auth and either continue with Google or create an account with your email and a password. You must tick the Terms, Privacy and AI disclaimer checkboxes to sign up. After signing up you'll get a confirmation email from notify.northauracollection.com — open it and click the link to verify. If it isn't there, check spam/junk and wait a minute before requesting a new one. First sign-in takes you through a short onboarding wizard (name, institution, program, level, learning style).

Resetting your password

On the sign-in page choose 'Forgot password'. We email a secure reset link to your registered address; it opens the /reset-password page where you set a new password. Links expire after a short time — request a new one if it fails. Google-only accounts don't have a password: use 'Continue with Google' instead.

Question 3

Updating profile information

Open Account & Subscription from the sidebar to update your name, institution, program, academic level, weekly availability and study goal. Changes save immediately and are used by the planner and AI Study Coach.

Deleting your account and data

See the Data Deletion page (/data-deletion) for the full process. You can delete individual items (courses, decks, documents) yourself at any time. For a full account and data deletion, email hello@northauracollection.com from your registered address; we action verified requests within 30 days.

Plans: Free, Premium and Pro

Accepted Answer

Free gives you the core organiser (courses, assignments, exams, planner, citations) with limited monthly AI usage. Premium and Pro raise or remove AI limits on the Study Coach, flashcard generation, quiz generation and PDF study tools. Paid options are: Semester plan $29.99 per 3 months, Standard annual $79.99/year with a 2-day free trial, and the Welcome offer $49.99/year. Compare them on the Pricing page or in Account & Subscription.

Free trial

Accepted Answer

The Standard annual plan includes a 2-day free trial. Your trial end date and renewal date are shown on the Account & Subscription page once checkout completes. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged; access continues until the trial period finishes.

Question 7

Upgrading, downgrading, cancelling and billing dates

Accepted Answer

Open Account & Subscription and use Manage subscription to open the secure billing portal, where you can change plan, update your card, download invoices or cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep paid features until the current period ends. Your renewal date is shown on the same page.

Question 8

Payment failures and refunds

If a payment is declined, update your card in the billing portal and retry — access is restored automatically once the payment succeeds. Common causes are expired cards, insufficient funds or bank 3-D Secure checks. Refunds follow the Subscription & Billing policy (/subscription-policy). For a specific charge, duplicate payment or dispute, contact hello@northauracollection.com with the date and last 4 digits of the card — never share full card details.

Paid features still locked after payment

Payments confirm within a minute. If features are still locked: reload the Account & Subscription page, sign out and back in, and confirm you paid with the same email you sign in with. If it still shows Free after a few minutes, that needs a human — email hello@northauracollection.com with your registered email and the payment date.

Study Planner

Study Planner builds a weekly schedule from your courses, assignment due dates, exam dates and the weekly hours in your profile. Generate a plan, then drag/edit sessions, mark them complete, or ask the AI Study Coach to adjust the week. Completed sessions feed the Progress dashboard.

Courses stores each class with a colour, code, instructor, schedule, grade goal and current grade. Add a course with 'New course'; assignments, exams, decks and documents can all be linked to it so everything stays grouped.

Assignments supports list and Kanban views across eight statuses, with priority levels, progress, weight, notes and subtask checklists. Drag a card between columns to change status, or open it to edit details and tick subtasks.

Create a deck, then add cards manually or generate them from your own notes/PDF text. Review uses SM-2 spaced repetition: rate each card Again/Hard/Good/Easy and it reschedules automatically. Cards due today appear on the dashboard.

Build a multiple-choice quiz from your own material, take it, and see your score with explanations. Past attempts are kept in history, and 'Review mistakes' replays only the questions you got wrong.

Upload PDF, DOCX, PPTX or TXT files (private storage, only you can access them). We extract the text and can produce a summary with sections, highlights and key terms, which you can download as notes or turn into flashcards or a quiz.

Citation Generator formats references in APA 7th, MLA 9th, Chicago and Harvard. Choose the source type, fill in the fields you have, and copy the formatted citation. Always double-check against your institution's style guide.

Exams and countdowns

Add exams with date, location, format, weight and a confidence rating. The dashboard shows a countdown for upcoming exams and the planner prioritises revision sessions as the date approaches.

Progress charts your study hours against your weekly goal, workload balance across courses, assignment completion and quiz performance over time. It updates as you complete sessions and assignments.

The AI Study Coach is a separate academic tutor that explains concepts, helps you outline and gives feedback on your own work using your real courses and deadlines. It never writes graded work for you. Support AI (this assistant) only handles account, billing, feature and technical questions.

Troubleshooting sign-in problems

Accepted Answer

Try: reload the page, check you're using the same method you signed up with (Google vs email), clear the site's cookies, disable strict tracking-protection or private mode, and make sure your device clock is correct. If you're bounced back to the sign-in page repeatedly, sign out fully and sign in again.
